Beavers are young people, aged 6 to 8. Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.

Halstead & District Horticultural & Chrysanthemum Society
Halstead Horticultural & Chrysanthemum Society has been in existence for over 70 years ad is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, the National Dahlia Society and the National Chrysanthemum Society. The oldest recorded Minutes for the society date back to 1954.

The present Halstead in Bloom was formed in 1999 with the aim of clearing, cleaning and brightening Halstead for the benefit of residents, those who work in the Town and our many visitors.

Alongside being a lending library, promotes local events and signposts members of the public to Halstead services, runs a community organisation folder and volunteer notice board as well as displaying HTC leaflets

Working with Halstead RiverCare Group, we manage the river, primarily along the Causeway, for the benefit of the flora and fauna and to improve the aesthetics and biodiversity.

A Halstead based charity since 1984 funding travel expenses to and from medical appointments for children and young people aged up to 18yrs.
