- Runs Queen’s Hall for hire
- Holds Town Council meetings where issues relating to Halstead are discussed – planning, amenities in the town and events – read the agendas and minutes here
- Runs outings for the Over 60s
- Provides Summer Fun activities for primary aged children
- Manages the 4 carparks in the town and monitors the East of England co-op car park
- Manages the closed churchyards and a number of footpaths
- Runs Courtaulds Sports Ground for hire
- Manages 200 allotments in the town
- Puts on Christmas lights and a switch-on event
- Runs a torchlight procession in December
- Offers grants annually of up to £500 to local organisations (.pdf)
