Halstead Horticultural & Chrysanthemum Society has been in existence for over 70 years ad is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, the National Dahlia Society and the National Chrysanthemum Society. The oldest recorded Minutes for the society date back to 1954.
The Society owns and rents out allotment land in Hedingham Road and anyone interested in having an allotment should contact the society’s Allotment Manager (see below).
The Society is always looking to welcome new members, exhibitors and visitors so why not come long to one of our shows and see what we are “all about”?
The Society’s small committee is passionate about keeping the society going and indeed still puts on two Flower & Vegetable shows in the Queen’s Hall each year with exhibits of Dahlias, Chrysanthemums, Vegetables, cookery, craft and children’s work all on show.
Any committee member will be pleased to answer any queries you may have. Or, indeed come along on one of the afternoons and enjoy what’s on show and enjoy a cuppa and a chat.
