You are invited to attend a public meeting at Queens Hall on Wednesday 4 February 2026 18.30 – 20.30
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss plans being put forward by Braintree District Council to provide up to 2700 new homes in the Halstead area.
Braintree District Council is considering larger development on the outskirts of Halstead, as well as smaller infill building sites within the town. The large developments, if agreed, might well bring with them the possibility of the long-awaited bypass for the town.
Once decisions have been made at the District Council, the proposals will be out for consultation. The purpose of this meeting is to allow residents of Halstead to know what is planned, and to enable them to make their views known.
