Blamsters Farm Rainbow Project – Community spirit in Halstead during Covid-19

The last few weeks have been challenging to say the very least for everyone, especially for individuals with learning disabilities/ Autism that too often find themselves socially excluded and due to ‘lock down’ have not even been able to see their loved ones.  Whilst many of us are encountering the same emotional difficulties, individuals with complex needs have a far lesser understanding of the need to maintain the social distancing and self-isolation.

The staff at Blamsters Farm have been very innovative in their ideas to keep some ‘normality’ in people’s lives over the last few weeks which we would like to share how supportive and generous the local businesses have been in supporting these vulnerable adults and staff that are working on the ‘front line’.

Blamsters Farm have received donations from the local businesses and have been overwhelmed by the kindness and consideration of the local and surrounding communities, which we feel should be recognised.  It shows great community spirit and is truly appreciated by us as an organisation!. These businesses have been noted in the attached ‘Blamsters Rainbow Project Good News Story
