Annual Town Council Meeting Agenda

In accordance with the Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020, this meeting will be held via Zoom
Members of the public are invited to submit written questions or statements, which will be read out during the meeting. All written questions or statements should be concise and should be able to be read within 3 minutes allotted for each question/statement.

1. Election of Chairman/Mayor
To elect the Chairman/Mayor of the Town Council for the ensuing year.
Declaration of Acceptance of Office of Chairperson.
2. Apologies for Absence
To approve the Minutes of the Annual Town Council meeting held on 18 May 2020.
4. Election of Vice Chairman
To elect the Vice Chairman of the Town Council for the ensuing year.
Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
5. To consider using the General Power of Competence
It is proposed that HTC re-approves the use of the General Power of Competence for the year 21/22 to replace the powers used under S137, as it meets the criteria of having more than 2 thirds of elected councillors, and a qualified clerk.
6. Election of Committee, and lead and deputy lead members for Finance and Planning
(a) Staff Advisory Committee ( 5 members)
